Why do so many of the animals get sick in the
pounds?

and distemper and delayed the
first parvo shot until they were 9 weeks old. After the second distemper
shot two pups developed high fever within 12 and 24 hours and suffered
from failing health
for two weeks with a variety of symptoms
like diarrhea, lack of appetite, depression, weight loss. It all
culminated in cluster seizures and after the most horrifying 24 hours of
our lives we had both
pups euthanized. Of course the vaccine
manufacturer denies any connection with the vaccine. The third pup got

At almost any pound we can see lots
of sick animals, all the time. The reason? In one word, vaccinations!
Here’s how it works: A healthy animal comes into the pound, the animal is
vaccinated,
and the animal has a case of acute illness within a
few days. The vaccines are cocktails of poisonous ingredients, and when
these animals are assaulted with them, their bodies immediately go
into an emergency response to eliminate these life-threatening
poisons.
The body uses mucous as a means to eliminate poisons—the
poisons are coated in mucous to protect the body, and they are escorted
out the nose, eyes, mouth, skin, whatever channel the
body can
use. When the body uses mucous and catarrh to eliminate poisons, and the
symptoms are acute, they are referred to as kennel cough. When these
symptoms are very acute, they are
referred to as pneumonia, or
distemper. Diarrhea and vomiting are also very acute responses, which are
sometimes referred to parvo. The very acute symptoms are often necessary
by bodies of
very young, small animals to try to eliminate the
megadose of poisons—these poor babies are fighting for their lives, in an
emergency to eliminate the poisons with which they have been
injected, which are overwhelming their bodies. It is common for
animals also to lose their appetite while the body is eliminating these
poisons. There is also often dehydration accompanying
the
animals’ desperate attempts to eliminate the poisons in the vaccines—the
body uses copious quantities of water to dilute and hold in suspension the
poisons, while it frantically works to try to
eliminate them
before the poisons can kill the animal. The poor animals are using all of
their energy and physical resources in this fight for life.
The
popular opinion, and the dogma of the modern medical profession, is that
it is the disease that is harmful and that kills the animals. But that is
nonsense. The truth is that it is the megadoses
of poisons which
are injected into the animals that are killing them. The disease is only
the body’s desperate response and attempt to eliminate the poisons in the
vaccines, before these poisons
can kill the poor animals. Sturdy
young or middle aged adult animals can usually survive the onslaught of
the poison injected into them, and simply eliminate them via kennel cough,
which is
equivalent to a “cold” or a “flu” in humans. But the
bodies of infant animals, adolescent puppies and kittens, and older
animals often end up waging a losing battle against the poisons injected
into them—we see the cases of “parvo” and “distemper” typically
in very young dogs, these babies often do not survive the vaccines. And
older animals often suddenly collapse and die a few
weeks after
being injected with poisons.
An incorrect etiology is given—the
cause assigned to the deaths of animals is bacteria or viruses, and
innocent microorganisms are blamed. As a result, there is continual
hysteria about sickness
“going around”, and about not enough
“disinfecting” being done, and constant finger-pointing, away from the
actual reality, the real cause never being known, let alone addressed.
People are
taught that sickness is the problem, rather than being
taught the truth, which is that it is the solution, the response by the
body to poisons, the attempt to eliminate toxins which threaten the
survival of the body. And people are taught that sickness is due to
some microorganism which needs to be wiped out, and that it is the lack of
vaccinations that causes animals to get sick, or that
the
vaccinations have not yet “kicked in” and that is why the animals get
sick. In actuality, the truth is the opposite, it is the vaccinations and
then the drugging which are leading to the
sickening the animals
and often causing their deaths directly. Or if the animals survive the
vaccine, then the pound kills them because they got sick! The pounds
poison the animals with the
vaccines, the animals become sick,
and then the pound kills the animals because they are sick.
Of
course the reasons given for the animals getting sick are that the pound
is not “disinfected” enough, or that the sick animals were not “isolated”
enough, due to misinformed beliefs about
vaccinations and about
sickness, and the myth of contagion. We have all been brought up to
believe that these injections of poison result in health, a preposterous
idea, but we believe it, and
we never think to look for the
source of the sickness in the vaccinations themselves. A small percentage
die almost immediately after being vaccinated, and even the pounds
acknowledge in
these cases the cause of death as anaphylactic
shock due to vaccination.
The high rate of kitten and puppy
mortality, blamed on "parvo" and "distemper", or whatever else it is
labeled, is actually due to the poisons injected into the veins of these
poor little
undeveloped bodies. Animals entering the pounds get
rabies vaccines, except for the babies, at least here in CA. But all dogs
and cats, kittens and puppies, get the 5-in-one mega-poison
DHLPP
cocktail, as well as the bordatella kennel cough vaccine.
And there
is a somewhat high mortality rate among 1 year old dogs as well--they are
still essentially babies. And did you know that the same dose of those
toxins are injected into the veins of all
dogs, regardless of
size, age, weight, etc.--1 cc. That is the universal dosage, to any dog or
cat, of any vaccine, by any vet. The tiny little bodies, undeveloped and
vulnerable, often cannot
withstand being injected with megadoses
of poisons, and simply die within days or weeks—regardless of what
“disease” it is called, how it’s labeled, it is in fact lethal poisoning
by injection of
toxins called vaccines.
Due to society's
belief in the baseless contagion theory—that a “sick” animal is
transmitting that “sickness” to other animals, another preposterous idea,
based upon the fiction that there are
armies of microorganisms
antipathetic and antagonistic to the body, just waiting to destroy it, and
that poisons will therefore save the life of a living being—because of
this line of thinking—the
long-ago disproved contagion theory
which nevertheless is the protocol of the entire conventional medical
profession—any animal deemed "sick" is immediately killed in the pounds.
And
virtually every animal in the pound will get sick at some
point, in an effort to eliminate the poisons from vaccines. And then it's
off with their heads, a never-ending cycle of making them sick
and then killing them for it.
If an animal is allowed to
survive in the pound for any length of time after the animal begins to
have symptoms of elimination, then the animal is given antibiotics. And
even if an animal is
fortunate enough to be adopted or rescued
from the pound, the animal is then immediately taken to a private vet, who
also fills the poor animal full of antibiotics and other drugs, in an
effort to
banish all symptoms—symptoms which are the evidence of
the body struggling to survive. These drugs, whether given orally or in
the more severe injection form, further overwhelm the body with
poisons, and can deal the final death blow to the animal. What are
antibiotics? “Anti”=against, “biota”=life. These powerful poisons are
administered in the effort to kill off “bad” bacteria, but the
truth of course is that there are no “bad” bacteria—bacteria live in
the body only with the body’s permission, because they are beneficial,
they are the garbage collectors of the body. Taking
powerful
poisons in order to kill off the garbage collectors results in not only
wiping out the vital flora in the body, but also in further severely
debilitating the body, as well as in the retention of
poisons
which the body is desperately trying to eliminate.
What are
vaccines?
Vaccines consist of pus, formaldehyde, mercury, lead,
aluminum, MSG, and other unsavory ingredients. Many studies show that the
use of even minute quantities of these substances can lead
to
cancer, neurological damage, and death. When these highly toxic substances
are injected directly into the blood stream, bypassing all of the body's
normal defense responses to substances
which would normally enter
the body topically or orally, they can so thoroughly poison and destroy
the whole body, overwhelming it beyond recovery—there is very little
defense that the body
can muster when it is dealt such a horrible
blow as to inject the megadoses of poisons directly into the blood stream.
The body’s blood stream must be kept clean, that is the number one
priority
of the body, and the insanity of vaccines—of purposely
and thoroughly poisoning the blood streams of animals—deals the body such
a blow that the body must institute a very acute response in
order to attempt to quickly eliminate these very harmful
toxins.
The pus in vaccines is obtained by means of brutality and
killing of animals—it is derived from imprisoning healthy dogs, in
laboratories, and making them sick by injecting into them enormous
doses of poisons, so that their bodies will develop as much mucous as
possible, which the medical profession uses for the vaccines, and then
those poor dogs are killed--the whole gruesome
vaccination
business is therefore built upon animal imprisonment, torture, and
killing, just to obtain the vaccines. And make no mistake, it IS a
business—the whole brutal, insane procedure has
been kept in
place because of the income it generates for the medical/veterinary
profession.
How did animals and people begin to be
vaccinated?
The entire premise of vaccines is built upon the
baseless germ theory, or contagion theory. Further down the page are links
where you can read entire books on-line, giving the history of the
contagion theory, which Louis Pasteur promulgated, and then recanted
on his deathbed. And there's info on vaccines, which Edward Jenner also
tried to stop, after he had pushed it on the
populace. But
despite the return of conscience in these men, their colleagues refused to
tell the public the truth and dispense with the vaccines--it's all a
moneymaking scheme, that is the only
reason the medical
profession keeps the public so sold on vaccinations and believing in the
contagion theory.
It was quite an artful sales job, getting the
public to believe that injecting these toxic substances into the
bloodstream was going to result in health. 100-150 years ago, when
vaccines were first
introduced, there was a huge outcry against
them. But of course, today, we've all grown up thoroughly brainwashed, so
very few people question any of this, and of course we have repressive
laws mandating the poisoning of all animals in this manner. And don't
look now, but some U.S. states, as well as other countries, have already
mandated vaccines for all humans. At times, the
Bush
administration seems headed in the direction of mandating smallpox
vaccines for everyone.
It's the poisoning of animals with the
vaccines, on top of imprisoning them in the pound, the stressful and
fearful environment, the cold drafty places--this is what makes the
animals sick in the
pounds. To require that dogs be vaccinated is
nothing short of criminal, as far as morality goes. But then of course
morality is nonexistent in the slaughterhouse pounds anyway, which mass
murder animals.
What is the truth about disease and about
vaccines?
The entire modern medical profession operates on the
principle that people and animals can be poisoned into health, and
further, that people and animals can only be healthy if they are
poisoned. A thoroughly brainwashed populace lines up to get injected
with poison cocktails against the flu, and has their newborns and children
vaccinated, as well as all their companion
animals. If the humans
and animals survive this poisoning, the vaccines and drugs are praised as
having saved their lives. If the humans and animals do not survive this
poisoning, then they are
said to have died despite the efforts of
the medical profession to save their lives, and harmless bacteria and
viruses are blamed. In fact, if they do not survive the poisoning, then it
is said that
they died because they weren’t poisoned soon enough
or thoroughly enough. Unfortunately, we are living in the darkest of dark
ages of ignorance, superstition, and indoctrination. In fact, the
earliest origins of vaccination were from shamans
When Jenner
widely introduced vaccination under the cloak of science, over 100 years
ago, people recognized that the deaths that resulted soon after were from
the injections, but today very
few people are able to make that
connection, after a lifetime of being programmed to accept poisonous drugs
and other substances as the source of health. You know the bumper stickers
that
read “just say no to drugs”? Well, if health is desired,
then that is what one must do, whether those drugs are “street” drugs, or
whether they come from the guys in the white coats. Once the
medics have poisoned the poor animals with vaccines, about the only
valuable thing they can do for them is to hydrate them, since the animals
have lost so much liquid, trying to dilute and
flush out the
poisons. Unfortunately, the vets insist on also dosing the animals with
antibiotics at the same time, poisoning upon poisoning.

So
much death in the pounds, intentionally or unintentionally, is a result of
the barbaric practice of vaccinations, and needs to be stopped, as does
the requiring by animal control agencies
that the public
vaccinate their animals—so much death and ill health could be avoided
thereby, both of animals in the pounds, and animals that are rescued from
them. You cannot poison a
body into health!
Many
veterinarians today have begun to understand the degenerative conditions
that result from vaccination. However, they are still very much in the
minority. And even most of these have not
yet realized that acute
conditions result from vaccinations.

"Routine" vaccination, as it is practiced today, is
not always effective (especially in the case of the feline leukemia
vaccine), and frequently has adverse side-effects, either short or long
term.
With the use of multivalent (combination: 4 in 1, 6 in 1,
etc.) vaccines that are repeated year after year, the frequency and
severity of these side-effects in our pets has increased dramatically.

not logically correlating symptoms occurring after vaccination and other
drugs…It has been shown that the more vaccinations for
different
diseases are administered at the same time, the less likely they are to

conventional kennel cough
vaccination is not very effective
because despite kennel owners insisting that dogs be vaccinated before
boarding, kennel cough is still a problem (general knowledge!!)… From
personal
experience, I have had several dog breeders whose dogs
repeatedly caught kennel cough despite annual C5 vaccinations, but when
given the oral homoeopathic kennel cough nosodes, very
few dogs
suffered any symptoms of kennel cough for years on end…There is a comfort
in vaccinating which makes us feel we are protecting the animal. Now we
have evidence to the contrary,
we can change our ideas with a
clear conscience.”
What Vets don't tell you about vaccination

vaccinate, you can see simple things like itching of the skin or excessive
licking of the paws, sometimes even
with no eruptions. We see a
lot of epilepsy/seizure, often after a rabies vaccination. Or dogs or cats
can become aggressive for several days. Frequently, you'll see urinary
tract infections in cats,
often within three months after their

THE
BIG SCAM--RABIES VACCINATION

percentage of both their gross income and profit from vaccines given
in the office. On average vaccines cost 60 to 95 cents per dose and are
charged to the client at $15 to $25 per injection
and
substantially more in the large cities. Therefore, if veterinarians lobby
to have a colorable law passed to give rabies vaccine every year that
enhances their financial picture…The vaccines,
particularly
rabies, are a political and economic scam being forced upon pet owners
because they do not know the truth."

- "There is a great deal of controversy concerning the dog Lyme
vaccine. There is a great debate about how well they actually work as well
as potential side
effects. There are publications concerning its
safety, but the researchers only look 24 hours after the vaccine reaction.
Research at Cornell University veterinary school brings up some suspicion
that there may be potential long term side effects of the
vaccine, though nothing is certain. These side effects may vary from
rheumatoid arthritis and all the major symptoms of lyme disease to
acute kidney failure. Though nothing is definitively documented, I
personally am very cautious and do not recommend vaccinating for Lyme
disease even though it is so epidemic here. Many
veterinary
schools and major veterinary centers do not recommend the vaccine for the
same concern regarding potential side effects. I have seen all the
symptoms of Lyme disease in dogs four
to eight weeks after the
vaccine and when I sent the western blot test to Cornell, it shows no
evidence of the disease, only evidence of the dog having been vaccinated,
yet the dog shows all the
classic symptoms of the disease. There
is a new dog vaccine out that claims that it does not have any of the side
effects, however, I still remain cautious and will wait for a year or two
to see. I
personally would rather treat my dog for Lyme disease
rather than risking the potential side effects of the vaccine. In
addition, there is a question of actually how well it works. Until more
safety
and decreased risk of side effects and efficacy are
demonstrated, I recommend holding off."
Feline Chronic Renal Failure
(CRF)
It has long been known that chronic renal failure (CRF) in cats
has an inflammatory component. Chronic low-grade inflammation causes
gradual destruction and scarring of the kidney,
eventually
resulting in loss of function and failure of the organ. However, what was
not known was what caused the inflammation in the first place. Recent
research from Colorado State
University suggests a link between
vaccination for feline distemper (panleukopenia) and the development of
chronic renal failure. The distemper virus is grown in a feline kidney
cell culture to

Purdue University showed that puppies given a vaccine grown in calf
serum developed antibodies to calf proteins that also reacted against
the puppies' own cells. These auto-antibodies (antibodies to self, or to

autoimmune diseases. Every subsequent vaccine caused the puppies to form
even more antibodies.

vaccinated cats and kittens suffer from far worse URIs than my
unvaccinated cats and kittens. I can't see vaccination as a means of
preventing or lessening the
symptoms of URIs…If vaccines were
indeed working — then why are more aggressive antibiotics needed to nurse
kittens (and cats) through URIs? These poor cats often spend weeks and
even
months on antibiotics. Can this be doing them any good? The
recent increase of older kittens and young adults with IBD may very well
be related to excessive antibiotic use in kittens…Kittens
can and
do die from URIs, but given good supportive care, a healthy kitten should
survive. I have found they are more inclined to recover completely if
antibiotics are not used. A kitten with a
URI can be difficult to
deal with. Like anyone with a cold, they can get cranky. Sometimes it
seems like it takes forever to get them through their URI symptoms — but
once you do it — without
suppressive medicine — they are all the
better for it…These antibiotics are not curing the kitten, they are not
helping to build the kitten's immune system, they are killing the healthy
bacteria…A
kitten nursed through a URI with every drug known to
veterinarians does not make for a healthy adult…I do not shield my kittens
from URIs or anything else for that matter. If one kitten in the litter
starts exhibiting symptoms of URI, I do not segregate him — heck
no! I let him infect the whole lot of them. I do not keep kittens separate
from the other cats in the household either…How
anyone can think
it necessary or desirable to inject an eight week old (or even younger)
kitten with three (and sometimes more) viruses at once and then do it
again in two or three weeks and
then again! How can an immature
immune system handle this onslaught? Some breeders actually vaccinate
kittens before they even open their eyes and they vaccinate pregnant

It is well known
that there are risks associated with vaccination of dogs, just as there
are risks for humans. The trouble is, no one has adequately quantified the
risks. Is it true that only a tiny
minority of dogs suffer
adverse reactions to vaccines, or is the problem more common? And what is
a vaccine reaction? Is it something that happens immediately after the
jab, or can you
expect a reaction to manifest weeks or months
later?
Christopher Day, Honorary Secretary of the British
Homoeopathic Veterinary Association, told us that, in his experience,
where the start date of a dog's illness is known, a high percentage
(around 80%) begin within three months of vaccination.
Canine
Health Concern tested this observation and has analyzed the histories of
over 3,800 dogs post vaccination. This critical mass, by any standards, is
a very high number from which to draw
valid statistical
conclusions. Most commercial scientific research involves significantly
fewer dogs (tending to base their conclusions on data involving a couple
of litters of puppies, if that). We
have been able to show a
definite statistical correlation between a vaccine event and the onset of
a number of specific illnesses. Our published conclusions have satisfied
mathematical or
inferential statistical tests at a level of
confidence of 99% or better.
Overall, we found that 66% per cent of
all sick dogs start being sick within three months of vaccination, which
is considerably more than double the expected rate of illness. Worse, 49%
of all
illnesses reported in the survey occurred within 30 days
of vaccination. This is over five times the expected percentage if
vaccination had no bearing on subsequent illness. More damning still,
29% of sick dogs first became sick within seven days of their vaccine
jab. This means that a dog is 13 times more likely to become ill within
seven days of vaccination than at any other time.
In the study,
69.2% of allergic dogs first became allergic within three months of being
vaccinated - more than double the expected number. 55.8% of dogs with
autoimmune disease developed
the condition within three months of
being vaccinated - again, more than twice the expected figure. Of dogs
with colitis, 65.9% developed the complaint within three months of being
vaccinated and, of dogs with dry eye/conjunctivitis, 70.2%
developed their conditions within three months - both nearly three times
higher than expected. 73.1% of dogs with epilepsy first
became
epileptic within three months of vaccination. As 2% of all dogs in the UK
are epileptic, vaccines are clearly causing horrendous damage. For
statisticians, our Chi score for epilepsy is
96: any Chi test
statistic higher than twelve gives a 95% confidence about the conclusions.
Without doubt, then, the majority of epileptic dogs in our survey are
vaccine damaged.
But perhaps most astonishing is the fact that a
majority of dogs (64.9%) with behavioral problems appear to have developed
their difficulties within three months of vaccination. Similarly, 72.5%
per cent of dogs with nervous or worrying dispositions became
nervous within three months of their jabs (with a Chi score of 112), and
73.1% per cent of dogs with short attention spans lost their
attentiveness within three months of vaccination.
All of our
evidence ties in with research in the human field, and a growing body of
veterinary research, which says that vaccines cause allergies,
hypersensitivity reactions, autoimmune disease,
encephalitis,
epilepsy, personality changes and brain damage.
The CHC results are
statistically very significant, and carry with them very high statistical
certainty. This means that the evidence is strong that the above diseases
can be triggered or caused by
vaccination.
Other diseases
that were highly represented within three months post vaccination included
cancer (35.1%) , chorea (81%), encephalitis (78.6%), heart conditions
(39.2%), kidney damage
(53.7%), liver damage/failure (61.5%),
paralysis of the rear end (69.2%), and pancreas problems
(54.2%).
Research conducted at Purdue University shows routinely
vaccinated dogs developing auto antibodies to a vast range of normal
canine biochemicals - which corroborates our
findings.
Interestingly, our study showed that arthritis and
Chronic Destructive Reticulo Myelopathy (CDRM - a degenerative disease
affecting myelin in the spinal cord) occur in clusters nine months after
vaccination, suggesting that the damage from vaccines resulting
in these two diseases takes longer to develop or to show their
symptoms.
Many contend that vaccines are a necessary evil; that we
need them to protect our dogs against certain deadly canine diseases.
However, our survey found that high percentages of dogs are
developing the diseases we vaccinate against, soon after
vaccination.
Of dogs with hepatitis, 64% contracted it within three
months of being vaccinated and, of those with parainfluenza, 50% developed
it within three months of their shots. Also, 69% of dogs with
parvovirus, 56% of dogs with distemper, and every single dog with
leptospirosis in the survey contracted the diseases within three months of
vaccination.
Our figures support the view that vaccines don't
confer guaranteed immunity and may actually cause the diseases they're
designed to prevent. Our figures appear to demonstrate that vaccines
cause illness in one in every hundred dogs - and this is a
conservative estimate.
For human beings, the World Health
Organization considers a reaction of one in 10,000 unacceptable. Surely
the same statistics apply to dogs. Worse - and bordering on corporate dog
slaughter - is the fact that we are urged to vaccinate companion
animals every year. There is no scientific justification for this; it is a
crime.

together with deaths resulting from reactions to the vaccination, have
terminated compulsory vaccination. When Australia did so in the case of

citizens, yet polio
epidemics also ended in these countries as

"Measles is an especially interesting disease to look at because
of its close similarity to canine distemper. The measles vaccine was
introduced in 1963, even though in the United States and
England
a greater than 95% decline in the measles death rate had already occurred
between 1915 and 1958. Also, the death rate from measles in the mid-1970s
(post-vaccine) was exactly the
same is it was in the early 1960s
(pre-vaccine). A study by the World Health Organization concludes that
chances are 14 times greater that measles will be contracted by those
vaccinated
against the disease than by those who have not been
vaccinated. The federal government reported in 1985 that 80% of the 1,984
cases of measles occurred in people who had been properly
vaccinated. More recently, outbreaks have continued to occur
throughout the country, sometimes among 100% vaccinated
populations.
"One particularly harmful effect of this continued use of
a useless vaccine is that the disease now affects primarily a different
age group. The peak incidence of measles no longer occurs in
children, but in adolescents and young adults. As a result the risk
of complications of pneumonia and liver abnormality have increased. Also,
before the vaccine was introduced, it was
extremely rare for an
infant to contract measles. However, by 1993 more than 25% of all measles
cases were occurring in babies under one year of age. The Centers for
Disease Control
anticipates a worsening of this situation and
attributes it to the growing number of mothers who were vaccinated during
the last 30 years, therefore passing on no natural immunity to their
children.

Vaccinosis and inflammatory bowel disease

levels of inflammatory bowel disease in our pets seen over the past
few decades that was rare 30 years ago"
Directly from human
medical research, we have definitive proof of a linkage between polyvalent
viral vaccines and inflammatory bowel disease, in particular the
combination MMR vaccine
and Crohn's disease and/or ulcerative
colitis(the same thing?) in susceptible children. In his masterful
research Andrew Wakefield, MD, a prominent British
gastroenterologist, documented
measles virus infection in the
intestinal walls of nearly %100 of the autistic children he scoped
and biopsied, who developed their disease within a short time after MMR
vaccination. All of the
normally developing children
did not have any evidence of measles virus infection or
histopathologic evidence of Crohn's or ulcerative colitis. I believe
that he did actually document that the
measles virus found in the
intestinal walls of these autistic children who developed the disease was
vaccine measles virus strain, which he showed via DNA analysis. And
while Dr. Wakefield is
not anti-vaccine, he has lectured
that if the vaccines were given monovalently, that such problems had
not been seen. Unfortunately, Dr. Wakefield was recently
asked to resign from his
position because the results of his
research was unpopular. According to his work, Dr. Wakefield theorizes
that the measles virus infection and subsequent pathology in the gut walls
leads to a
leaky-gut like syndrome causing absorption of
encephelopathic toxins which directly affects the developing brains
of susceptible children leading to autistic like symptoms.
This
above research is likely alarmingly occurring with the epidemic levels of
inflammatory bowel disease in our pets seen over the past few
decades that was rare 30 years ago. Just think how
many
POLYVALENTLY vaccinated dogs with distemper (a measles virus) are
suffering such chronic infections and pathology in their intestines.
I wish that someone would do the research in
pets, but of
course we all know that this will never happen. But I wonder how
many academically-oriented veterinary gastroenterologists would be
interested in reading Dr. Wakefield's research,
and examining
this issue in our dogs and cats, who are the true victims here. At least
it would open up for academic discussion potential origins of this "new"
disease of the past few decades.
How many out there are seeing such a
link clinically in their patients. Of course not all of these pets
are scoped and biopsied, but there are certainly mega numbers of dogs and
cats whose
appetites change forever, and who develop vague
chronic waxing and waning GI symptoms which clients just live with (i.e.
the maltese who vomits bile once or twice a month, or the
occasional "hairball" vomiting cat) and who vets dismiss as variants
of normal. And what about all of those pets with vague GI symptoms
who also have mental/emotional disorders or active
CNS
diseases like epilepsy. Andrew Wakefield's work truly clicks
with me in all of these possibilities.
Of course homeopathically, we do
not constitutionally prescribe based on types of viral infections or
pathology, but such work does lend credence to the pet vaccinosis
epidemic other than
looking at adjuvants in the rabies or
leukemia virus vaccines as the sole contributors to perceived rare
vaccine-induced disease by our allopathic colleagues. I hope Andrew
Wakefield's work is
at some point examined with regards to
relevance in veterinary medicine. Just tonight, I had a new
client come in whose dog had developed transient bloody/mucousy
diarrhea after every
vaccine, and after its last round a
few months ago, has had non-relenting colitis signs, and bowels as thick
as rope on my exam, which would like be characterized as severe chronic
idiopathic
inflammatory bowel disease by most of our
colleagues.
Dr. Dee Blanco, D.V.M - "You take healthy animals
and often very quickly after you vaccinate, you can see simple things like
itching of the skin or excessive licking of the paws, sometimes even
with no eruptions," said Dee Blanco, D.V.M., a holistic practitioner
in Santa Fe, New Mexico. "We see a lot of epilepsy, often after a rabies
vaccination. Or dogs or cats can become aggressive
for several
days. Frequently, you'll see urinary tract infections in cats, often
within three months after their [annual] vaccination. If you step back,
open your mind and heart, you'll start to see
patterns of illness
post-vaccination."
Vaccinations may even contribute to premature death
in animals whose immune systems were already compromised, some
veterinarians believe. "I had two situations where we had spent a
long time building up two older, severely immunocompromised dogs, and
then their owners had them vaccinated for just about everything known to
man," recalled Dr. Carvel Tiekert, executive
director and founder
of the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association headquartered in
Bel Air, Maryland. "Both of those dogs died within about a month of
vaccination. Can we prove a
cause and effect? No. Do I think
there was a cause and effect? Yes." more

Vaccines, Infectious Diseases and the Canine Immune
System
Vaccines, both in human and animal medicine, have come under
attack recently with critics blaming adverse reactions and long-term
health disorders on their wide-spread and frequent use.
However,
most immunologists agree that the risks of disease far outweigh the risks
associated with the process of vaccinating. Unfortunately, to those humans
and pets who comprise the minority
high-risk group for vaccine
reactions, the advantages offered by vaccines are understandably
overshadowed by fears of debilitating or even fatal adverse reactions. The

a brief overview of the canine immune
system and the benefits which canine vaccines provide. Additionally, the

THE
BIG SCAM--RABIES VACCINATION

like to give you, the reader, the truth about the so called
required
vaccinations, particularly rabies. There are two basic forms of
law.
One is the legal Constitutional and Common law that this country
was
founded on, and the other is "colorable" law passed by
Administrative
agencies/bureaucrats who have been given so called
authority to pass laws.
Black's Law Dictionary 5th Edition defines
colorable law as "That which is
in appearance only, and not in reality,
what purports to be, hence
counterfeit, feigned, having the appearance
of truth." Yes, I study the
law, am a paralegal, and have an extensive
law library.
So any and all mandatory rabies vaccination programs
are colorable law, in
that they have been passed and mandated upon the
pet owning public by
certain vested interest groups. Who are these
groups? First and foremost
are veterinarians, in general, and
veterinarian medical organizations.
Second are the local animal control
personnel, bureaucrats and politicians.
What are their reasons? GREED,
POWER AND CONTROL. Both these large powerful
interest groups stand to
benefit greatly by having rabies mandated by
colorable
law.
Veterinarians receive a large percentage of both their gross
income and
profit from vaccines given in the office. On average
vaccines cost 60 to 95
cents per dose and are charged to the client at
$15 to $25 per injection
and substantially more in the large cities.
Therefore, if veterinarians
lobby to have a colorable law passed to
give rabies vaccine every year that
enhances their financial
picture.
The veterinary medical societies, by working with other
groups and area
politicians, are rewarded by increased prestige and
professional standing
in the community. After all we are protecting you
from the dreaded disease
rabies, whether it exists or not. Some areas
of the country are more
enlightened and fortunate to have the rabies
vaccine mandated every three
years. You can be assured the rise of
rabies is never taken into account as
to whether the vaccine should be
required or not. More on this later. The
local government personnel
benefit by extending more control over our
lives, enriching the public
treasury with fees, tags and fines, and giving
the appearance that
local government is doing something about animal
populations, disease
and risks to the public. Since rabies vaccines have
been mandated, what
county or area has seen less dog and cat bites, better
animal control,
more public awareness and educating of pet owning
responsibility,
better birth control of unwanted animals, less euthanasia
of animals
and decreased growth of animal control facilities?
These special
groups and lobbies will use any argument, realistic or not,
to justify
their position. They are excellent at using the media to spread
the
lies and distortions. Examples: We have increased numbers of
dogs
biting people, pitbulls attacking and killing children are on the
increase,
more dogs and cats are running loose terrorizing
neighborhoods, killing
wildlife and other domestic stock, etc...ad
nausaem. The only thing rabies
vaccination is for is the protection
from rabies virus, all other
justifiers for the vaccine fall under
human control and exist because there
are a certain number of humans,
connected to animals, who are
irresponsible. Rabies is spread by the
bite of an infected animal. The
number of dog/cat bite cases in the
U.S. that expose humans to rabies is as
rare as shark attacks. This low
incident rate has nothing to do with
mandatory vaccination as the
number of cases was low before the mandatory
requirement.
Let me
give you an example of Pinellas County, FL where my Affinity Clinic
is
located. I secured information from Pinellas Animal Control through
the
Freedom of Information Act. The record of animal control starts in
1964.
From 1964 to 1978 there were zero cases of dog rabies in the
county.
Magically in 1978 rabies vaccine was mandated to be given every
year and
all dogs tagged and licensed. WHY? Well it seems four
veterinarians, with
animal control bureaucrats, pushed the county board
of supervisors to pass
a law mandating rabies vaccination every year.
There were three local vets
and one professor from the State Veterinary
College who were behind this.
It was interesting reading their letters
pushing this law and the minutes
of the county meeting. There was talk
of dogs biting people (no actual
figures given), dogs running loose,
animal overpopulation, rabies on the
increase in the U.S. (the increase
was in wildlife, not dogs), etc.,etc.
Not once was the issue discussed
that there was no rabies in the county in
dogs. To this date there
still has not been one case of dog rabies,
including the population of
dogs whose owners, GOD BLESS THEM, do not
vaccinate for rabies. Let's
go further.
From 1964 to 1989 there were no cases of rabies in cats
in Pinellas County.
Magically in 1989 a law was passed mandating rabies
vaccination, tags and
licenses for all cats. Same tired worn out
excuses were used. Since the
1989 law there was one cat with rabies
contracted from the bite of a bat.
DO YOU READERS REALLY UNDERSTAND
WHAT I HAVE JUST STATED? This is standard throughout the Country. No
allowance is made for dogs/cats who never leave
the house or yard,
could never be exposed to rabies under any
circumstances, or who are so
ill, old or at the end of their life cycle
that the rabies vaccine
would throw them over the edge. No, all dogs and
cats are treated the
same because we have the bogeyman, rabies, stalking
the streets waiting
to strike unprotected dogs and cats.
Is there rabies in this
Country? You bet. Are there areas of this Country
that have rabies in
their wildlife population and do some dogs/cats become
infected? You
bet. But let's be realistic. Rabies has been on this earth
long before
man walked here and will be here long after we are gone. The
only way
to get rid of rabies is to remove mankind and the upper
animals
susceptible to the virus. Then maybe the virus will die off. It
is a self
limiting disease in the wild as it is fatal. So the virus has
an extremely
hard time spreading far and wide.
What is wrong
with targeting those areas of the Country that have a problem
with
rabies using a realistic and specially formulated program that
will
protect the population at risk? Too logical and the special groups
don't
make any money. Why not educate the pet owner to the risks and
dangers and
let them decide whether the immune system damage from
rabies vaccination is
greater or lesser than contracting the disease.
We do have a God given
Constitutionally secured right to LIFE, LIBERTY,
AND THE PURSUIT OF
HAPPINESS. Public health officials always have the
right to mandate
emergency health care procedures in case the public,
in general does not
respond properly. But why should every day, month
and year be as if an
emergency or crisis exists? And why should we have
more and more control of
our lives taken from us?
The vaccines,
particularly rabies, are a political and economic scam being
forced
upon pet owners because they do not know the truth. Rabies,
nationwide,
is nowhere near the problem the veterinarians, media,
politicians and
bureaucrats would like you to believe. If you wish more of
the truth go
to your local city or county government building and look up
the codes
and statutes concerning vaccines and rabies. Get figures from
local
animal control for rabies in dogs, cats and wildlife in your area.
Then
you can start to fight back, take control of your life, and
protect
your pet from the only dreaded disease that is
important--special interest
groups pushing their program leading to
vaccine induced damaged immune
systems. Only you can set yourself
free.
Current Veterinary Therapy by Kirk, the textbook bible for
veterinarians in
general, has an article on canine and feline vaccines
by two researchers.
Near the end of the article is a paragraph called
Annual Vaccinations. It
states "The practice of annual vaccinations
lacks scientific validity or
verification. There is no immunological
requirement for annual
vaccinations. The practice of annual
vaccinations should be considered of
questionable efficacy unless it is
used as a mechanism to provide an annual
physical examination or is
required by law." Sure, if we can't manipulate
you with annual
vaccinations let's pass a law to get you into the office.

trick!
Well reader, it is your choice. I can only hope to stimulate
you to look
and go further. You don't have to take this suppression.
Fight back. The
only thing you have to lose is your freedom and you
have already lost a

Let's start with a potpourri of opinion - a
selection of vets who believe vaccines are damaging our dogs. The April /
May 1995 issue of the exellent Wolf Clan Magazine Collected a
cacaphony:
Charles E Loops, DVM, Pittsboro, USA said: "The first thing
that must change with routine vaccinations is the myth that vaccines are
not harmful. Veterinarians and animal guardians have to
come to
realise that they are not protecting animals from disease by annual
vaccinations, but in fact, are destroying the health and immune systems of
these same animals they love and care
for".
Russell Swift,
DVM, Fort Lauderdale, USA, said: "I believe that poor diet and
vaccinations are responsible for most chronic diseases. Acute 'diseases'
are discharges of toxins and energy from the
body. The
'causative' germs assist by breaking down toxins and stumulating
cleansing. By preventing these discharges, vaccines result in chronic
disorders. Injected vaccines preservatives. They
implant mutated
microörganisms, preservatives, foreign animal proteins and other compounds
directly into the system. This is done in the name of 'preventing' a few
syndromes. If an animal is
in an optimal state of health, he or
she will produce the strongest immune response possible. This response
offers protection against all NATURAL challenges. The irony is that
vaccine labels
say they are to be given only to healthy animals.
If they were truly healthy, they would not need them. Those who are not
healthy are the most severely damaged".
Pedro Rivera, DVM, Sturtevant,
USA, said: "Vaccinosis is the reaction from common innoculations
(vaccines) against the body's immune system and general well-being. These
reactions might
take months or years to show up and will cause
undue harm to future generations. In our practice, we have seen
hypothyroidism, chronic yeast, ear infections, immune-mediated diseases
and
worsening of them, joint maladies, and behavioural prolems as
secondary reactions to over-vaccination."
Pat Bradley, DVM, Conway,
USA, said: "The most common problems I see that are directly related to
vaccines on a day to day basis are ear or skin conditions, such as chronic
discharges and
itching. I also see behaviour problems such as
fearfulness or aggression. Often guardians will report that these begin
shortly after vaccination, and are exacerbated with every vaccine.
"In
a more general and frightening context, I see the overall health and
longevity of animals deteriorating. The bodies of most animals have a
tremendous capacity to detoxify poisons, but they
do have a
limit. I think we often exceed that limit and over-whelm the body's immune
system function with toxins from vaccines, poor quality foods,
insecticides, environmental toxins, etc. This
is why we've seen
such a dramatic increase in allergies, organ failures, and behaviour
problems."
Christina Chambreau, DVM, Madison,USA, said: "Routine
vaccinations are probably the worst thing that we do for our animals. They
cause all types of illnesses but not directly to where we
would
relate them definitely to be caused by the vaccine. Repeating vaccinations
on a yearly basis undermines the whole energetic well-being of our
animals. Animals do not seem to be
decimated by one or two
vaccines when they are young and veterinary immunologists tell us that
viral vaccines need only be given once or twice in an animal's life.
First, there is no need for
annual vaccinations and, second, they
definitely cause chronic disease. As a homoeopath, it is almost impossible
to cure an animal without first addressing the problems that vaccines have
caused to the animal, no matter what the species."
Mike Kohn,
DVM, Madison, USA, said: "Unfortunately our society is in the grasp of a
health panacea and this panacea is fuelled by the biomedical and
pharmaceutical industries. Vaccinations
have become the modern
day equivalent of leeching. First of all, introducing foreign material via
subcutaneous or intramuscular injection is upsetting to the body's defense
system. In response
to this violation, there have been increased
autoimmune disease (allergies being one component), epilepsy, neoplasia,
as well as behavioural problems in small animals.
"Even though man and
animals have been around for thousands of years, formal vaccines were
introduced within the last century. Interestingly, the increase in cancer,
respiratory disorders
(most air quality standards are higher
today than in decades past), and autoimmune problems have likewise
escalated alarmingly during the previous decade. Vaccines are not the only
culprit
for these increases; however, I feel they are one of the
primary offenders."
Kristine Severyn, R. PH., PH.D., Director, Ohio
Parents for Vaccine Safety said: "Vaccines are not always effective,
safety is unproven, and long-term consequences are unknown. Despite this
the government requires their use, resulting in a lack of
incentive for drug companies to produce better products. Additionally,
mandatory vaccine laws make it impossible to conduct properly
controlled studies, so we'll never know if vaccines are truly safe,
as is claimed by the government and medical profession.
Similar to
other medical procedures, the right of informed consent. i.e., the right
to say 'no', should apply to vaccines."
Norman C Ralston, DVM,
Mesquite, USA, said: " I think we eventually have to take a look at what
is happening to animals because of repeated vaccinations. If you have an
animal that within 10
days from the time he received vaccines
falls back into a condition that you'd been trying to clean up for some
time, you know what happened. We're seeing a condition that is being
described
by some of my colleagues and myself as vaccinosis.We
have to recognise it as being there."
Stephen R Blake, DVM, San Diego,
USA, said: "The idea of annual vaccines is really questionable. There is
no scientific basis from what I've been able to read. There was a good
article in
Current Veterinary Therapy a couple of years ago. They
did a literature search and the two authors were not 'alternative'
veterinarians, and they could find no scientific basis for annual
vaccines. So it's just being done; there is no real basis for the
practice. There are a lot of chronic conditions that develop some time
after vaccinating. Some of these conditions that I see are
chronic ear infections, digestive problems, seizures, skin problems,
and behavioural problems".
Nancy Scanlon, DVM, Chino Hills, USA, said:
"For those who don't believe in the concept of long-term vaccinosis, there
is plenty of evidence of short term problems. Every time a dog is
vaccinated for Parvo, the number of white blood cells in the
circulation decreases for a while. This means their immune system won't
work as well during that time. Every veterinarian who has
been in
practice long enough has seen reactions to vaccines, ranging from
lethargy, mild fever, sore neck to vomiting and sleeping for 24 hours, to
total collapse and shock. In cats we now
recognise that
vaccinating with too many vaccines in the same place all the time can
cause fibrosarcoma, a nasty cancer. This is officially recognised by the
allopathic veterinary community,
and if this isn't a form of
vaccinosis, I don't know what is".
Finally, Driston Sherman, DVM,
Colombus, USA, was quoted in Wolf Clan Magazine as saying: " When I was
doing primary allopathic medicine, I saw two things. One is that within an
hour after
the vaccination was given, the animal was having
trouble breathing or may have had redness of the skin. The other thing I
saw quite often was usually about twelve to twenty-four hours after
being vaccinated, animals with fever, loss of appetite, sleeping a
lot, sometimes vomitting or diarrhea. Most of those cases usually took
care of themselves without any intervention within twenty-
four
hours.
"Now that I'm doing holistic medicine, it's really intriguing to
look at the medical histories of animals. One case that comes to mind is a
cat with a history of these horrible-looking sores that
occurred
exactly 30 days after being vaccinated - two years in a row. You may want
to call that coincidence. I have my suspicions but I can't say , for sure,
what caused these conditions, which
is very frustrating."
Gary
Seymour FBIH DIHom wrote : "Under Israeli law every dog has to receive an
anti-rabies vaccination once a year. Within seconds of receiving his first
rabies shot, my dog had an adverse
reaction and has been ill ever
since (a distemper type illness).
"I am convinced that his illness is a
direct result of the vaccination he has been given, and deeply fear the
results of his vaccination. I see on an almost daily basis in my practice
the adverse
effects of vaccine poisoning to both childeren and
adults. I am a protagonist of the total abolishment of vaccination in both
humans and animals. If this short-sighted practice can be curtailed,
or even slowed down by your Census, then I offer you my whole hearted
support".
Letterbox
There is a great deal of evidence
concerning the adverse effects of vaccines on dogs. This information is
generally hidden, and is not easy to find. The Canine Health Census was
first started
after I lost two young Golden Retrievers. We
thought it was time we dog owners gathered evidence, independent of drug
company money.
Shortly after our two beautiful dogs died, we received
articles and information from other dog lovers whose dogs were suffering
from terrible illnesses or dying years before their time. A major
authority in vaccine reactions in dogs is Jean Dodds DVM, an American
vet and researcher. Ms Dodds contends that Multiple Live Virus vaccines
(MLV vaccines) are responsible for many
diseases of the immune
system in today’s dogs. She includes arthritis, epilepsy, thyroid disease,
diabetes, allergies and other conditions as those linked to vaccine
regime.
I, personally, have many, many letters from dog owners whose
dogs reacted violently to their vaccines - within minutes, hours, months.
Many say that their dog started limping shortly after
vaccination, and the vet diagnosed arthritis. Others say that their
dog started having epileptic fits shortly after being vaccinated. When you
see letter after letter after letter saying these things,
you
soon realise that this is not coincidence. However, vets rarely tell their
clients that a vaccine is the cause of their dogs’ ill health. Is this
because they don’t think it is? Is it because they don’t
realise?
Or is it because they are all frightened of telling the truth?
A vet
typically pays about £5 in England for a vaccine shot. He will charge his
client anywhere between £15 and £35. Some people in England - typically
the people whose dogs have died,
they believe, as a result of the
vaccination - say that vaccines are big business for vets: they represent
the profitability of a veterinary practice. Also, vets make a lot of money
‘treating’ the
illnesses that arise from vaccines.
All this,
of course, is opinion. So how about some facts: Intervet, a vaccine
manufacturer, states in its own veterinary data sheets:
Only healthy
dogs should be vaccinated. Following initial vaccination, dogs should not
be exposed to infection for at least 14 days. Generalised hypersensitivity
reactions following
administration may occasionally occur. In
this event, administration of Adrenaline BP by the subcutaneous route may
be indicated.
A good immune response is reliant on the reaction of an
immunogenic agent and a fully competent immune system. Immunocompetence of
the animal may be compromised by a variety of
factors including
poor health, nutritional status, genetic factors, concurrent drug therapy
and stress.
I ask these questions:
What is Adrenaline used for? Is
it not used for life and death situations? What "generalised
hypersensitivity" reactions are they talking about? They don’t tell
us.
How do you know if your dog is healthy enough to be vaccinated? Can
he tell you if he feels ill?
How do you know if your dog’s immune
system is fully competent? If you feed your dog commercial pet food
(containing ‘ash’, animal ‘byproducts’, vegetable ‘derivatives’,) how good
is your dog’
s nutritional status? If they don’t tell us,
precisely, what is in the dog’s food, how do we know? In England, the Pet
Food Manufacturers Association states in its own literature that the
ingredients
of dog food would be thrown away if we didn’t give it
to dogs!!
How do you know if your dog has ‘genetic factors’ that mean
he shouldn’t be vaccinated? Does your vet ask you whether any of the dog’s
relatives have epilepsy, thyroid disease, allergies, and so
on?
Does the vet even take your dog’s temperature?
Stress: isn’t it
stressful for a puppy to be taken away from his littermates and mother,
and placed in a completely strange environment, and then jabbed with an
assortment of live virus vaccines?
Further, Ronald D. Schultz, a top
American veterinary immunologist, conducted a search of all available
veterinary literature, trying to find the scientific basis for annual
revaccination for dogs.
He could find none. This fact was
reported in Kirk’s Veterinary Therapy, a leading publication for vets. At
a seminar in America, Dr. Schultz is reported as having said that
distemper would have
died out years ago if we hadn’t vaccinated
our dogs. The vaccine regime is keeping the virus in the
ecosystem.
Further, the canine distemper vaccine is actually the
measles virus (cfr Black’s Veterinary Dictionary). Compare vaccine
reactions in children who have been given the measles virus: epilepsy,
bowel disorders, allergies, autism, etc... all the same reactions can
be seen in dogs.
Except, of course, poor dog owners are never told this
by their vets. So when their dog becomes ill, they are confused and
grieving, and they don’t think to speak with their friends and share
information. There is not, to my knowledge, one single consumer
protection body of dogs (or cats). We have listened to the ‘experts’ as if
they were gods. Having seen hundreds of letters from
dog owners,
and having conducted a great deal of research, I know for a fact that
vaccines can be extremely damaging to our pets. We are not told of the
risks, so we must inform ourselves.
I would be grateful if any of your
readers who own dogs would take part in the Canine Health Census. We are
seeking to gather case histories of 16,577 dogs. This will give us the
statistical
evidence to prove (or disprove) whether vaccines,
commercial pet food, drugs, chemicals (including flea treatments and
agricultural chemicals), stress and other factors are creating death and
disease in the modern dog. We have refused sponsorship from
companies selling into the multi-billion £ pet market - so dog lovers are
funding the Census themselves. So far, over 2,000 dogs are
taking
part.

In response to Sabine Hansske's
query in the last IVN issue, a year or two ago a programme on New Zealand
television reported on the devastating effects of vaccination in kittens
whose
development became stunted after vaccination. I was told by
a cat breeder that it was so bad that cat breeders falsified documents to
testify their (unvaccinated) animals were vaccinated to
ensure
their animals were admitted to show competitions , simply because they
could no longer bear to see their valuable animals ruined by
vaccination.
Dr. Gerhard Buchwald MD in his book Impfen - Das Geschäft
mit der Angst (Vaccination - A Business Based on Fear) reports that there
were many more outbreaks of foot-and-mouth disease in
European
countries where cattle was vaccinated against the disease than in the
European countries which didn’t vaccinate. It was only when the use of the
vaccine was prohibited in the
European Union that there were no
further outbreaks (similar to smallpox which only disappeared once mass
vaccination programmes were replaced by strict quarantine and disinfection
measures).
The vaccine against the swinepest was prohibited in
the European Union for similar reasons. Veterinarian Dr. K. Strohmaier
from Tubingen-Germany commented:
"The experience of the last few years
has shown that vaccinations only suppress the disease, which can soon
return... Vaccinations prevent the establishment of healthy
pig-populations."
Paediatricians could learn a lot from veterinarians.
Whether they want to is another matter.

Many
of our pets' illness and disease may be vaccinosis, - harm caused by
vaccinations. Drs. Richard Pitcarin and Christina Chambreau, renowned
holistic veterinarians, feel that poor nutrition
and vaccinations
are the primary cause of all chronic and most acute health problems our
pets experience. They also believe that with optimal nutrition the number
of animals succumbing to
infectious disease would decrease
dramatically in three to four generations.
Vaccinosis does not afflict
all vaccinated animals but you take a risk every time you vaccinate your
pet. Tissue damage may be caused by massive amounts of adjuvant, the
substance used to
stabilize the vaccine, and antigen, the actual
virus particles overloading the system. When large quantities of antigen
combined with particles of the carrying agent, usually aluminum
hydroxide, enter the body, cysts and tumors often form at the vaccine
site and become cancerous. This has become a very serious condition in
cats.
In Kirks Current Veterinary Therapy written by Dr. Ron Schultz
and Tom R. Phillips there is the following statement:
A practice that
was started many years ago and that lacks scientific validity or
verification is annual revaccinations. Almost without exception there is
no immunology requirement for annual
revaccination. Immunity to
viruses persists for years or for the life of the animal. Successful
vaccination to most bacterial pathogens produces an immunological memory
that remains for years
allowing an animal to develop a protective
anamnesis (secondary) response when exposed to virulent organisms. Only
the immune response to toxins requires booster (e.g. tetanus toxin
booster,
in humans, is recommended once every seven to ten
years), and no toxin vaccines are currently used for dogs or cats.
Furthermore, re-vaccination with most viral vaccines fails to stimulate an
anamnesis (secondary) response as a result of interference by
existing antibody. The practice of annual vaccination in our opinion
should be considered of questionable efficacy unless it is
used
as a mechanism to provide an annual physical examination or is require by
law.

ANGELES -- Many people get their pets vaccinated every year for health and
protection.
But is it possible those same vaccinations could be harming
your pet or worse? Some veterinarians are starting to look more closely at
those claims, reported NBC4's David Cruz
Today, Molly is a playful
4-year-old Basenji, but at 2 years old, she was covered in sores and
fighting for life.
"She was dying," her owners told NBC4. "Laying in
her bed, she wouldn't get up. She would hardly eat."
Doctors were
baffled by the dog's mystery illness until they narrowed it down to a most
likely cause, a severe reaction to multiple vaccines, given at the rescue
shelter where her owners adopted
her.
"What I understand now
is that that can potentially overload the immune system," said Molly's
owner.
You do not need to vaccinate your pet every year and it may not
be safe to do so, reported NBC4's Cruz.
One veterinarian told NBC4 that
millions of pets get booster shots every year, for everything from rabies
and distemper to parvovirus and lyme disease, and most suffer no ill
effects.
But these days, many veterinarians are taking a "less is
better" approach.
People often are so hysterical, they put the animals
to sleep because it's an acute vaccine reaction and has to be treated
rapidly to have the animal recover, but then you don't vaccinate again
because the next one could kill the animal, the veterinarian
said.
One Los Angeles veterinarian said vaccines can remain effective
for years without booster shots.
He did a survey of more than 100,000
dogs that were vaccinated once for distemper and parvovirus. In every
case, those who were tested and did not get boosters have remained
healthy.
Overvaccination has been suspected in causing tumors in some
cats and immune problems in dogs.
One family said their Yorkshire
Terrier, Nicky, nearly died after an annual series of booster
shots.
"She couldn't breathe well, she was weak, limp," a family member
said. "She was going to die. They said she probably wouldn't pull through
it."
After $6,000 in medical fees and a week in intensive care, Nicky
pulled through. Doctors suspect an adverse vaccine reaction.
"You bring
your dog in because you're trying to keep her healthy, and a week later
you find out you almost killed her," the family member said.
One doctor
told NBC4 that if you're getting your pet vaccinated, here's a simple
plan: Start with the basics, rabies, distemper and parvovirus, then
consult with your vet.
The doctor said German shepherds, rottweilers
and poodles are at higher risk for adverse vaccine reactions, as are older
pets.
Concerned pet owners with questions are encouraged to consult
with their veterinarian.

Has vaccination— and the propaganda campaign for it—
run amok? We hear from England that a man, Jerry Friedman, is suing his
employer after he got fired because he refused to be
vaccinated
against the measles. Friedman, a vegan (partly for ethical reasons) claims
religious freedom to refuse the vaccine, since it is prepared on chicken
embryos. This article explores, in
depth, the dangers of vaccines
and vaccination.
The vaccine for the measles is cultivated on chicken
embryos, just like the one for influenza (the flu), yellow fever and
mumps. These embryos are formed entirely after 35 hours of incubation.
We can see their heart beat after the fifth day. The birds come from
huge henhouses containing more than 10,000 birds (in addition to 700
males). In the production of its flu vaccines, a
pharmaceutical
company consumes around 160,000 eggs per week.
The vaccine against
Japanese encephalitis is cultivated on mouse brains and by-products from
the slaughterhouses are to be found in various steps of the fabrication of
the vaccines. On top of
being cultivated on animal or human
aborted fetus cells, vaccines bathe in formaldehyde, phenylic alcohol,
mercury, aluminum, gelatin, bovine serum, albumin coming from human blood,
aspartame and antibiotics. No wonder that these vaccinal
cocktails have multiple side-effects — pains at injection, fever, aches,
articulation pains, asthma or eczema crisis, allergies,
anaphylactic shock, Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), autism,
meningitis, convulsions, encephalitis, multiple sclerosis, diabetes,
lupus, and various types of cancer. The use of multiple
vaccines
potentiates the side-effects risks of every vaccine and their interaction
is a time bomb.
The animal by-products in vaccines include a great risk
of viral contamination. No laboratory can guarantee the asepsis of animal
cells used in vaccine culture. The flu vaccine, for example, in
addition to being prepared in an animal embryo, may contain the
chicken leukemia virus, and be transmitted to the vaccinated human. It
also contains elements coming from the pig because
an enzyme
taken from the stomach of the animal separates the cells in laboratory. A
discovery made by Swiss researchers and reported in the Washington Post
(12.9.95), noted that the enzyme,
reverse transcriptase,
contaminated the vaccines for the measles and the mumps. This enzyme comes
from chicken embryos used in the making of the vaccines against the flu
and the yellow
fever. This enzyme is associated with the presence
of a retrovirus, a type of virus that can modify the genes
permanently.
Mercury
Thimerosol, a salt composed of ethyl mercury
and thiosalicylate, is a conserving agent added to prevent bacterial and
fungal contamination. It contains 49.6% mercury. It was introduced in
vaccines in the 30’s, but, following numerous studies on its
side-effects, vaccines now tend to be made without it. However, in Canada,
thimerosol can still be found in a great number of
vaccines,
including the ones against Hepatitis B, meningitis and influenza. This
mercury derivative in vaccines is extremely allergenic, carcinogenic and
toxic when it is injected directly in the
blood. It accumulates
in the brain and weakens the respiratory, digestive, nervous and immune
systems. According to Hugh Fudenberg, M.D., an individual who has received
five consecutive
vaccines against the flu has 10 times-higher
chance of getting Alzheimer’s disease than a non-vaccinated individual.
This can be partly explained by the fact that the vaccine contains mercury
and aluminum, and that the accumulation of these substances
affects the cognitive functions of the brain. Researchers Markesbery and
Ehmanns have demonstrated, after having autopsied
patients
suffering from Alzheimer’s disease, that the brains of the affected
persons contained a higher level of mercury that those without the
disease. This accumulation of mercury from
vaccines is on top of
what is absorbed from other sources, such as dental fillings, food (fish)
and certain products such as ophthalmic and nasal drops, and the solution
for ophthalmic or
immunoglobulin lenses.
Aluminum
According
to the vaccination concept, aluminum serves as an immunity adjuvant,
creating an inflammatory reaction that raises the antigen-antibodies
reaction. It is used in the majority of
vaccines. It has been
estimated that a child, through vaccination, receives up to 3.75 mg. of
aluminum during the first six months of its life. Aluminum’s strong
toxicity is well known: it causes
neurological and immune-related
troubles. Its presence in vaccines is more and more often shown to be
related to the increase of allergies throughout the world. Many drugs
contain aluminum.
Coated aspirin has 44 mg. of aluminum per
tablet, and many anti-acid drugs contain aluminum. Drugs against diarrhea
have more than 600 mg. of aluminum per tablet.
Gelatin
In a large
number of vaccines, gelatin has a stabilizing function. It’s a product
made from slaughterhouse leftovers, such as the cartilage, skin, and bones
of animals. In Europe, the
contamination of gelatine by BSE
(Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy) has been widely noted, and the use of
bones coming from countries where a large number of BSE cases have
occurred, such as the UK and Portugal, has recently been banned.
Gelatin in vaccines is greatly allergenic.
Bovine Serum
In October,
2000, the Health Department of England took from the market an oral polio
vaccine cultivated on bovine fetal calf serum, which was suspected to be
infected with the BSE or the
mad cow disease prion. The vaccine
given to 11.5 millions children and adults during the last two decades had
been prepared with serum coming from English cows that may have been
contaminated. In Canada, bovine serum is contained in the
poliomyelitis vaccine, and in the series of vaccines against rabies,
chicken pox (varicella), and hepatitis A.
Linked to intensive farming
and the horror of slaughterhouses, bovine serum can also be the host of
viruses that become mutagenic in the human organism. The Bovine Leukemia
virus
endemically exists in American herds, as well as a virus
genetically close to HIV, which is suspected to be related implicated in
human AIDS. These viruses can be transmitted to humans and
provoke leukemias.
Dr. Ryo Harasawa of Tokyo University in Japan
and Dr. Massimo Giangaspero of Milan University in Italy, as well as many
of their colleagues in Germany and Belgium, have detected the bovine
diarrhea virus in many vaccines produced in Europe, the US, and
Japan. These include vaccines for German measles, influenza, measles, and
mumps.
The bovine serum is used in many steps of the cellular
laboratory culture. In the BCG vaccine, the tuberculosis bacteria come
from the serum.
Diseases and Vaccines
The serious short-term and
long-term side effects of vaccines exist but deliberately remain obscure
because of a well-orchestrated campaign of misinformation. Every vaccine,
without
exception, carries negative side effects, and monographs
provided by pharmaceutical laboratories describe them very well. However,
after their descriptions, the manufacturers often add: “no
cause
and effect link has however been established between these reactions and
vaccination.”
The Flu Vaccine, repeated each year and massively given
to elderly people, can bring about allergic type reactions such as
urticaria, angioedema, allergenic asthma, neurological diseases
such as facial paralysis, encephalitis, encephalopathy, demyelination
troubles, labyrinthitis, and the Guillain-Barré syndrome.
The Hepatitis
B Vaccine could be at the origin of an increase of neurological troubles
leading to multiple sclerosis, and grave and invalidating diseases in
adults. In France, more than 300
cases of acute demyelinizations
imputed to the vaccine have been recorded, among them a small number of
teenagers. (The vaccine damages the myelin, the sheath nerve and this
degeneration is the first symptom of multiple sclerosis.) An
impressing number of articles published in scientific magazines report
severe auto-immune and neurological complications following
the
vaccination against Type B Hepatitis: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, fever,
urticaria, tachycardia, heart palpitations, zona, eczema, purpura,
paralysis, Guillain-Barré syndrome, optical
nephritis,
conjunctivitis, vision troubles. Also cases of arthritis, rheumatism,
liver problems, asthma, and even deaths.
Dr. Barthelow Classen, known
for his work on Type 1 diabetes, believes that there is a link between
vaccination, especially against hepatitis B, and insulin-dependent
diabetes. In the New
Zealand Medical Journal (May, 1996), he
noted a 60% increase in juvenile diabetes after a massive vaccination
campaign against hepatitis B between 1988 and 1991. The hepatitis B
vaccine
is not the only one implicated in this
diabetes/vaccination relation. Classen also discovered that the incidence
of diabetes in Finland was stable in children under 4 years of age until
the
government modified the vaccination calendar of children. In
1974, 130,000 children of 3 to 4 years of age were vaccinated against
hepatitis B and meningitis (type C). Then they were
injected with
the vaccine against the whooping cough. In the following years, there was
an 64% increase of type 1 diabetes in vaccinated children.
The vaccine
against pertussis (whooping cough), given at the same time as those for
diphtheria and tetanus to children, may also have a link to diabetes. This
vaccine contains a toxin secreted
by a microbe, the Bordetella
pertussis, a toxin described by some as a “virulent poison” and having a
disastrous effect on the pancreas. It can also lead to hypoglycemia: two
German
researchers, Hennessen and Quast, discovered, in 1979,
that in 149 children having received this vaccine, 59 developed
hypoglycemia symptoms. Cases of juvenile diabetes also occurred after
vaccinations against the mumps and the German measles.
The DPT
(diphtheria, pertussis and tetanus) and its relation to autism is becoming
clearer. After this vaccine and those against the measles and hepatitis B
became of general use, an increase
in children autism was
recorded. A study led by Ray Gallup noted an increase of more than 300% in
autism cases between 1992 and 1997 in 25 American states. An increasing
number of
experts believe the weakening of the immune system
really constitutes a syndrome in autistic people — a neuro-immunological
trouble. More than a third of the affected children show a
reduced count of CD4 and CD8 lymphocytes, which may hinder their
organism in producing the necessary antibodies to fight the viruses coming
from vaccines. DPT can trigger an epilepsy
crisis, meningitis,
and create allergic encephalitis, which in their turn may lead to autism
and other behavioral troubles. “Parent of autistic children frequently
report disorders immediately after
the inoculation with the
series of vaccine for diphtheria, whooping cough and tetanus” declared Dr.
Vijendra Singh, professor of immunology. The later published a study on
autistic children, in
the Clinical Immunology and Immunopathology
(1998), which demonstrated that an exposition to the measles virus could
trigger off an auto-immune response interfering with the development
of the myelin.
The persisting presence of the measles virus in the
intestines of autistic persons has been noted. Dr. Andrew Wakefield,
director of a group of research at the Royal Free Hospital in London,
published a study in the Lancet (February 1998) done on eight
children affected with severe intestinal affections. They became autistic
right after the DPT series of vaccines.
The vaccine against the German
measles may lead to rheumatoid arthritis. Researches indicate that 41% of
vaccinated women developed articulation pains, 9% a transitory athritis,
and 5% a
chronic arthritis.
Meningitis
Bacterial meningitis
is caused, according to allopathic medicine, by three germs: the
meningococci, the pneumococci (mostly responsible for pneumonia) and the
H. Influenza (type B/Hib).
Recently in Quebec, numerous cases of
meningitis have appeared. The weakening of the children’s immune systems
who receive repeated doses of vaccines since their birth may well be
linked
to this.
The pneumococcus vaccine can cause an erythema
and an induration during injection, fever, general discomfort, allergic
type reactions such as urticaria, angioneurotic oedema, or an
anaphylaxis as well as vasculitis, a general skin outbreak, myalgia,
and various neurological troubles including the Guillain-Barré
syndrome.
The Haemophilus influenzae B polysaccharide vaccine given to
two months old babies can induce convulsive crisis, pains during
injection, irritability, sleepiness, diarrhea, vomiting, otitis, skin
eruptions and infection of the superior respiratory tract.
In
September 2000, the newspaper The Observer of London, after the discovery
of secret documents, exposed the death of 11 persons following a recent
massive vaccination against type C
meningitis. The vaccine caused
16 500 negative reactions, and when we know that only 10 to 15% of these
reactions are reported to the Health Department, the number of side
effects and
deaths is without a doubt higher.
Two of the
declared deaths succumbed to a “meningococcal septicemia,” an infection of
the blood related to meningitis. The vaccine, instead of protecting them,
gave them meningitis. More
than 13 million babies, children, and
adults have received the vaccine in England during the year 1999/2000. The
vaccine manufacturer is even suspected of having deliberately hidden the
side effects to the general public, with the complicity of
government employees responsible for the vaccination campaign. Two of
these employees were member of the administration council
of the
pharmaceutical laboratory manufacturing the vaccine. MISINFORMATION.
A
few months ago, there was an information session held for parents at the
Sainte-Justine hospital in Montreal under the theme “Why vaccinate our
children?” It was led by two pediatricians,
